November was our month of “Hometown Heroes”! We made cards to thank the veterans at the VFW, took fingerprints like police officers, and ran through a firefighters obstacle course! Fun pack meeting!

Big thank you to our Tigers and Wolves who came out to collect food today for G.I.F.T Food Pantry in Berlin as well as the churches of West Berlin. In two hours, we (with Troop 48) collected 475 food items total! Great job Cubs!

Thank you cards we made for the members of the Berlin VFW.
On Veteran’s Day, we’d like to take a chance to thank the veterans of the Berlin VFW for serving our country, and for all the support that they give Pack 48. We couldn’t do it without these fine men and women!

October 19th, our Wolves and Bears went on a night hike at Berlin Park. Sounded like a lot of fun!

Another first for Pack 48 as we had our first ever Popcorn Show-and-Sell at Shop Rite of Berlin on Saturday, October 13th. BIG thank you to all of our families who helped out, Ms. Alix for organizing the day, and of course to Shop Rite of Berlin for having us!
Biggest thank you to everyone who bought popcorn to support Scouting!

One of our Cubs went down to Delaware for the first ever Scout Day at the Dover Speedway! He got to check out the track, go to a Q&A with NASCAR driver Jimmy Johnson, and then watch Sunday’s race. Sounds like a great day!

The first weekend of October, Pack 48 ventured up to Pine Tree Camp in Tabernacle for our Fall campout! A two mile nature hike, nuke ‘em, Gaga ball, tinfoil meal dinners, s’mores, and flashlight tag… great day!

BIG thank you to Mr. Holmes for taking care of the food arrangements and to all of the parents for helping out with the weekend!

We kicked off October with a series of SPOOKY games! Spider races, pin the smile on the skeleton (or somewhere relatively close to him), and other games were a great time!

We had an AWESOME September! First Aid! Leaf rubbings! Hiking essentials! Cooking tin foil meals! Making trail mix (heavy on the candy, light on the not-candy)!

Pack 48 is collecting food for the food pantry in Berlin! How can you help?
We put out 1000 bags today in Berlin Borough and Township. If you received a bag, just leave it out on your steps (feel free to add more bags to it!) next Sunday, November 11th, and we’ll pick it up from you!
If we didn’t leave bags at your door, you can…

If you don’t know where “the shed” is, call Mike at 856-287-2155 when you pull into the church parking lot and we’ll come grab your donations! We cannot collect donations at this location other days,
2) Drop them off Thursday night (11/8) at the Berlin VFW (34 Chestnut Ave, Berlin, NJ) between 7 PM and 7:45 PM! We cannot collect donations at this location other days or times.
3) If you are in Berlin Borough or Township, contact Cubmaster Mike McCormick via email michaelmccormick26@gmail.com or text 856-287-2155 by Friday night with your address and which town you are in, and we’ll have someone pick bagged donations up off of your porch on Sunday morning!
